I have always loved how words sound. As stories are shared, the lilting cadence of language can draw us in, and allow us to travel to somewhere other than the here and now.
As soon as I owned my first library card, I was never without a pile of books by my bedside.
Exploring with the gang in The Famous Five, in envy of Nancy Drew, under the spell of Narnia and The Magic Faraway Tree.
These days for pleasure, I enjoy historical fiction, suspense, and biographies. but while reading to my grandsons if there is a rogue pirate, a dastardly dragon, a rabbit, or squirrel with attitude, I am all about it.
As for narrating, I enjoy suspense, cozy mystery, fantasy, and historical fiction, and in the non-fiction arena, spiritual growth, health and wellness speaking with authority on eating disorders, parenting, homeschooling, and life as a spouse in ministry.
